Looking at existing music magazines that are similar to mine i noticed that they also carried house styles on the front covers. For example this Vibe issue features and iconic figure T.I on the front has him wearing black and white to match the background which is teh masthead VIBE in bold red and fetures in red. Also some writing is in black. All these colours stand out o the white background. His top hat and suit represnt wealth which is what the target audience aspire to be.

Another VIBE magazine has Eminem on the fornt cover. Although Eminem is white he is still respecte dfor his talent in the black culture as he grew up in 'urban' ares of america making him able to relate to his crowd. On this issue of the magazine the masthead is two toned using the colours red and black. These colours put together connote danger, as they could be sayin he is a threat to other artis and the lure anchors this by sayin 'Eminem comes clean'. This technique helps to attract readers as they want to know what he is coming clean about. The same colours black, red and white are used in this magazine. The fact that eminem is covering some of teh masthead shows that maybe the magazine is confident and that enough people recognise it for soem of it to be covered!
